Did a bit of homework prior to choosing this axe. The build quality is excellent and it is very nicely balanced. Not too heavy but allows a well-aimed swing at speed giving excellent results. Free sharpener was a bonus (thanks!) and with the handle / guard, its the complete package when it comes to log-splitting. Highly recommended.
I did some research before buying the log splitting axe - it does what it says.. And you get what what you pay for, quality and the right tool for the job. Tooled up were the best price.

I had some real narley oak to split i thought it would be a nightmare job, this axe went through it real easy i was surprised. Defo worth it. X
I was cynical as to whether this axe would live up to the hype. However, i was astounded as to the ease with which this axe would split logs. i had one log that was 11 inches wide and 29 inches long and the fiskars split it from top to bottom with one easy blow. can't wait to do some more splitting!
