I would not describe this machine as 'heavy duty'. It is fine as a medium performance trimmer.

The handle is difficult to stabilise once the teeth of its locating wheel are worn. The accompanying instructions do not make clear that the toothed wheel can be depressed to fit the handle on to it. Having a pocket attached to the strimmer in which spare strimmer line can be kept would be a good idea.

Powerful grass cutter, but quite heavy compared to my old (much smaller) Flymo. Surprised there is no trigger safety catch. Edging wheel is too narrow and harder to guide than the roller on the old multitrim, and disappointingly it gobbles strimmer line. Used two full spools doing 4 not very big lawns.

I bought this just before Christmas last year, Since then I've gone through 3 spools of strimmer line, One that came pre-installed, and 2 which I've purchased. Problem is the 2 I bought lasted 5 minutes, and I have no idea why?.. I made sure the line was tight on the spool when it clicked into place, but as soon as I turned it on the line spilled out. I've read elsewhere to make sure the spring is in the housing cap, Mine didn't come with a spring in the cap?

Needed a replacement and the one that broke was a B & D and so I selected a model similar to the one that I had, but it is not as good
