Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Bought this to take advantage of the two B+D 18V batteries that I already have from a power drill. The grass trimmer works fine in lower power mode, the high power mode is a handy option for dense areas which I don't find the need for very often. The guide wheel for use in edging makes the job a lot easier. The telescopic body also helps maintaining a good posture whilst in action. Overall, the unit is sturdy with decent finishing. Happy with the purchase.

Great little strimmer for light work. I have a petrol strimmer for the hard stuff and also have an electric flymo, but I reckon I will use this more. Its just more convenient -no cables and no starting or running problems. It goes through the battery in about 15 mins but I have spares from my drills, so not an issue for me. I would advise having a spare if you have anything but a small garden. I have a fairly big garden and you can get a lot of grass and tree edging done in that time. The petrol strimmer really damages tree bark, even the electric harms the apple trees, this doesnt so ideal for what I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised at not one single line break (nightmare with a petrol strimmer) -probably because its not spinning as hard as a petrol. That saved a lot of time and annoyance. Nice length adjustment and swivel for vertical/horizontal cutting too. Some complain the wheel gets in the way but I didnt find it an issue at all. Very pleased with it.

I bought one of these for myself and my son ask to use it because his was broken, he was shuff to bits with it, he said it was so light also easy to use so he ask me to order one for him and I know how light and easy it is myself because I am 80 years old

I bought this strimmer as I needed something lightweight and it is fine for what I want. Its not heavy and the handle adjusts to make it comfortable for different areas you might want to work on. I bought an extra battery which is useful as I know I will have time to complete what I want without running out of battery. I would recommend getting two batteries.

It is battery powered so not as strong as plug-in models. Still for small garden, it is all I need. Only criticism is that I am 6'1" so for me handle is a bit short.

Easy to set up, although it took a while to charge the battery initially. Easy and efficient to use. Needs something to say when the battery is about to run out - flashing light/beep? If I were taller it may be a bit short for me, I'm 5 foot 8 inches.

Lightweight strimmer which I bought for work when the petrol one would be 'over the top'. There is a technique to getting it to cut longer grass/weeds, but the Turbo feature is excellent.
