Simple & straightforward steam mop, which is just what I wanted to replace mop & bucket. Easy to fill from the tap and quick to get to steaming point. There is a ‘pause’ button on the mop so you can control the steam while you move furniture etc. I find it quick to dry as it doesn’t leave the floor too wet. My only negative would be that the power cable is not long enough, so I deducted a star for that - but it is quick to just plug into a different socket to finish the job.

Very short cord, no way of wrapping cord when not in use but ok apart from that. Delivery took nearly three weeks, I emailed a couple of times and got a generic response. So if you need something in a hurry shop elsewhere.

Good basic steam mop. Flex could be longer also very frustrating that it doesn’t stand up by itself.

Still new but the performance is very good. Feel slightly apprehensive about how long the swtches will last. Would have liked a storage facility for the cord - just 2 oposing hooks would have done.

Having purchased a Black and Decker steam mop a few years ago and been very satisfied with it, I was disappointed that, through my own carelessness, the ratchet on the handle broke and the steam mop kept falling over when I wasn’t holding it. I ordered the Basic Steam Mop hoping that it would be as satisfactory as my original mop. Unfortunately, the new mop is definitely ‘basic’ and not as good for several reasons. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for the first mop, but I know it was more so I’m sure that would explain why the new mop is somewhat disappointing. Nevertheless, I appreciate that one gets what one pays for and overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. I do however, wish that the cable was longer!

I used this mop to clean my bathroom tiles. Because they are black and very shiny this mop left A lot of water marks. Shame as it is very easy to use but really not effective with shinny mirrored surfaces. I asked to return it but no chance with this retailer.
