Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Wasn’t sure at first about power when been battery operated and if the weight would increase. Now used the weight is slightly heavy but the power and flexibility without watching the cable is excellent for anyone with hedges to keep trim

I wanted a lighter and more usable hedge trimmer for cutting a bramble "hedge" without power leads and the attendant issues. I was concerned that it may not be powerful enough or that the 18V battery would expire half way through but this proved to be far from the case as the machine cut through the brambles quickly and efficiently in about half the time that I used to take with a corded unit.
