ARS 150-0.6 Long Reach Cut and Hold Rose Pruner

So impressed with the first ARS product I bought from Tooled-up that I bought a second ARS product from them. It does exactly what the desciption of the product says. NIce and sharp but holds on to the clipping so you can drop it in a container rather than leaving it on the ground. Very versatile in being able to swivel the head to any angle. Better than snips as the extra length lets you reach much higher especially if you stand on a step stool. Tooled-up are quick to get the order processed and delivered.

I bought this for my wife who is a very keen rose grower. She struggles to reach some of the dead flower heads at the back of the large bushes and has been asking for a tool to help get this done. This is exactly what this tool is for and she is really happy with it. She is now able to dead head the hard to reach roses and also retrieve the flower head rather than it falling and also out of reach. Quite expensive but seems to be very well made so will hopefully give many years of service. Recommend.

I bought a plastic handled pruner very similar to this one just over a year ago for £8 but the handle broke after less than a year making it unusable and the supplier refused compensation or replacement so I thought I would buy a better quality model with what I thought were metal handles. It was about six times more expensive. However, when it came it had plastic handles even though the specification states "material: high carbon steel" the model number 160-0.6 does have metal handles and this is the one to buy in my view for just £10 more. the specification also states 'spare blade' but one isn't included in the offer.
