Portwest Detachable Rope Grab

The Portwest Detachable Rope Grab is a fall arrest device designed to travel along a vertical or horizontal lifeline, locking instantly in the event of a fall to prevent further descent.

Its detachable design sets it apart for practical site use — the rope grab can be attached or detached at any point along the lifeline, removing the need to thread it from one end. A trailing action means it follows the user's movement automatically, allowing freedom of movement without constant manual adjustment.

The integrated attachment ring provides a secure connection point for a lanyard or other compatible fall arrest equipment, making it straightforward to integrate into a broader working-at-height system. Rated to a maximum load of 100kg, it carries both CE certification and UKCA marking, meeting the compliance requirements for use on UK construction sites and in other working-at-height environments.
