The Makita DJR187 bare unit (body only) provides professional tradespeople with the flexibility to add this powerful reciprocating saw to their existing Makita 18v LXT battery platform. This configuration is ideal for those who already own compatible batteries and chargers, offering excellent value whilst avoiding unnecessary duplication of components.
This brushless reciprocating saw delivers professional cutting performance with its 2-speed operation reaching up to 3,000 spm, making light work of demolition, renovation and construction tasks. The compact, lightweight design (3.4-3.8kg) combined with the ergonomically designed handle ensures comfortable operation throughout the working day, whilst the newly designed crank mechanism maximises cutting efficiency.
Practical features include tool-less blade changes via the twist lock system, tool-less shoe adjustment, integrated LED job light, electric brake, safety lock-off switch and retractable joist hook. Variable speed control through the trigger provides precise cutting control across a wide range of materials.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
