Makita DHR280 Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless SDS Plus Hammer Drill
This Makita DHR280 configuration is supplied as a body-only unit without the dust extraction attachment, ideal for professionals who already have dust management solutions or work in environments where dust extraction isn't required. The tool delivers 2.8J of impact energy with up to 5,000 blows per minute, making it highly effective for drilling concrete up to 28mm diameter, steel up to 13mm, and wood up to 32mm.
The brushless motor technology ensures efficient power delivery from the twin 18v battery system, whilst the anti-vibration technology and soft no-load function enhance user comfort during prolonged use. The variable speed control (0-980rpm) and constant speed function provide precise control across different materials and applications.
Complete with side handle, depth stop, bit grease and Makita Makpac Type 4 connector case for secure storage and easy transportation. Batteries and charger are not included, allowing you to use your existing Makita LXT battery collection.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
