Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Having problems with this tool since buying it from new. Cannot insert chisel bit into chuck. Has been repaired 2 times by a local Makita repairer and still has same problem. Then send it off to Makita main repairers 2 times same problem even though I told them to just replace chuck, comes back stating thoroughly tested same problem can’t insert chisel bit. Now sent to Makita Milton Keynes to try and solve problem this is testing my patience can’t even sell until problem rectified. Watch a YouTube video and a guy was struggling to get chisel bit inserted so starting to wonder it this thing has a major fault which is worrying as I paid £300 for it new.
