Makita ADP10 40v Max XGT Cordless Li-ion Battery Adaptor
The Makita ADP10 is a battery adaptor designed to enable the DC40RA 40V Max XGT charger to charge 18V LXT Li-Ion batteries, extending the versatility of your Makita charging setup.
Developed by Makita to bridge their XGT and LXT battery platforms, the ADP10 delivers charging performance equivalent to that of the DC18RC charger. This makes it a practical solution for contractors and tradespeople who work across both the 18V LXT and 40V Max XGT ranges without needing a separate dedicated 18V charger.
Please note that the ADP10 is not compatible with a number of products. Before purchasing, ensure this adaptor suits your existing setup.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
