Makita 18v LXT Cordless Split Shaft Garden Multi Tool Kit
This kit is supplied with 2 x Makita BL1850B 18v LXT 5Ah Li-ion batteries and a DC18RC single charger, making it a well-balanced choice for regular garden users who want the reassurance of a spare battery always charged and ready to go.
The kit combines the Makita DUX18 split shaft power head with the EM404MP brush cutter attachment. The DUX18 brushless motor produces up to 470w of output with variable speed control, soft start, and Constant Speed control to maintain consistent cutting performance under load. AFT technology protects against overload, and the electric brake stops the cutting head quickly for safer operation.
The EM404MP attaches via a tool-less clip-lock coupling and features a steel drive shaft for lower vibration and a bump and feed trimmer head for efficient grass cutting.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
