Handy THSS100 Stainless Steel Push Feed, Grass and Salt Broadcast Spreader

I bought to use with white rock salt but it works poorly. You have to shake it constantly for it to work It will not work at all with brown rock salt. Its well built and has not rusted over the winter due to being stainless steel. No plastic gearbox like the cheaper ones so can stand more abuse. A pain to put togeather..come flatpacked! 2hrs later and it was built. I have cut bigger holes on the base and it spreads better now but i have no way of controlling how much it spreads now and i can not stop it speading. Its ok but i would not buy again. Its fine for VERY dry white rock salt and grass seed/ferterliser but for rock salt buy something better...although proper rock salt spreader are very expensive. Will try with brown salt and update as with bigger holes it may work and brown salt is so much cheaper .
