Einhell GC-KS 2540 Electric Garden Shredder

The delivery was very quick. The electric garden shredder looked very similar and was the same type as one I had had for over 10 years. It's performance was significantly better in that once the waste had been fed into the shredder it was far more effective at pulling the waste in. I shredded several bags mainly beech tree branches which are quite hard and the shredder continued to perform well. I hardly had to use the prodder to push the waste down. The only downside I found was the collection bag was quite a snug fit around the outlet and it was not that easy to see when the waste had reached the outlet where it would start to back up in the machine, which can cause blockage. More frequent emptying of the bag would resolve this, although I used a bigger bag from the previous machine I had. Overall very pleased with the shredder.

Great quality, one comment would be that the 40mm capability is slightly off the mark, I would suggest 30mm is more realistic

Ordered this shredder at 2.45 yesterday and it arrived at 1 today. DHL delivery and tracking was excellent. I was using it in 25 minutes and had half a bag of leylandii from a felled 40 foot tree within 20 minutes. It cut 30 mm branches with ease and just drags it right through! You need to cut off any thick twigs first if they are at right angles as they won't bend into the feeder. Thin and green twigs just gather together and slide in. Overall a smashing little machine. I have a few trees to dispose of so I will update this review later.

Excellent. Jambs if you are too enthusiastic with green plants which are not yet woody enough, but they all do that. Have an Einhell petrol lawn scarifyier which starts every time and is brilliant, so no hesitation in buying this shredder and no regrets.
