The open mesh design sets these sheets apart from conventional sandpaper. Dust is drawn through the mesh across a wider surface area rather than being channelled through a limited number of holes, keeping the abrasive surface clear and cutting harder for longer. Fibres are pulled away from the workpiece into the mesh openings, preventing build-up between the material and the abrasive grains.
