These mate with hozelock spigots. i haven't used them for a long time yet, but the design looks like it will last better than hozelock, which seem to lose their hold after a short while. the grip on the mating connector is positive, using metal balls locked in place by the sleeve. however this does mean that you can't just push these on -- you have to pull the sleeve back to fit them.

A well made connector that looks like it should last a very long time. So far there have been no leaks, and i would recommend this fitting.
