Bosch HSS-AlTiN Step Drill Bit

The Bosch HSS-AlTiN Step Drill Bit lets you drill smooth, burr-free holes in several diameters with a single bit. It is ideal for deburring, drilling round holes and enlarging existing ones. The split-point tip allows an easy start, so pre-punching is not necessary. Available in sizes from 4mm to 40.5mm, it suits thin materials such as non-ferrous metals, sheet plastic, sheet steel, plastic and stainless steel.

The bit is made from high-speed steel (HSS) and coated with AlTiN (Aluminium Titan Nitride) for maximum lifetime, and it does not require coolant. The CNC ground spiral flute optimises chip removal and reduces vibration for even drilling, while axial and radial relief grinding deliver outstanding cutting smoothness. Durable laser-marked hole diameters on both spiral flutes are easy to read, and the 3-flat shank prevents slipping in the chuck while providing powerful high-torque transmission.
