Bosch 25 Piece HSS-TiN Drill Bit Set
The Bosch 25 Piece HSS-TiN Drill Bit Set is a titanium-coated HSS twist drill bit set designed for drilling holes in steel and other metals.
Each bit is ground from high-speed steel (HSS) and finished with a titanium-nitride (TiN) coating. Used with the appropriate cooling agent, the coating keeps friction and wear to a minimum and extends the life of the bit. The high surface quality of the ground flutes also supports extended use.
This set suits alloyed and non-alloyed steel, malleable cast iron, sintered iron, new silver, copper and bronze. It also drills hard plastics such as perspex. The cylindrical shank (equal to the drill bit diameter) is intended for drill stands and drill drivers, and fits three-jaw drill chucks.
The bits are manufactured to DIN 338 as Type N (flute angle), with a 135-degree tip and an h8 diameter tolerance. The pointed split-point tip gives active cutting and accurate centring without wandering. Do not use these bits on aluminium, and always work with a cooling agent.
