Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

Good service great product
Very happy with the price and quality of the product, just what I needed and delivered quickly.
Black & Decker Genuine BL2018 18v Cordless Li-ion Battery 2ah is an excellent piece of kit. We already have the electric one but the battery one is really useful and an extra battery makes it so much more convenient. The Alligator was delivered in it's own box (not wrapped in black plastic) so the Delivery Driver was able to see the product, he was really impressed and asked lots of questions and after telling him we were really happy with the electric one but would find the battery one more useful the Delivery Driver said he was going to invest in one.
I am very pleased with this battery, it performs well and does last longer than the 1.5ah ones I already have.
I recently purchased a Black and Decker Angle Grinder from Black and Decker. Grinding battery life circa 15 min and 4/5 hrs to charge.Complained. First they stated it was one of their models. Sent them photo's and the link to the website. They wanted it back to check it. They would need it for two weeks hence I would be without it for at least 3 weeks!!! It is in constant use so bought a 2nd batt. Grinding Efflorescence off a breeze block wall both batteries were as dead as a doormouse within half an hour!!! If you are looking for an angle grinder do not buy this branded tool. I guess you get what you pay for!!! Should have stuck to D- W--- and M----- Richard B.
The battery CHARGER came soon, was very well packed, and has performed pretty much as well as required (just a slightly brighter & larger charging indicator light would be appreciated?).
