Trend Contractor Two Part Hinge Jig

The Trend Contractor Two Part Hinge Jig is a portable template set designed for accurately recessing hinges in wooden doors and frames using a plunge router.

Suitable for use both on-site and in joinery shops, this hinge jig significantly reduces setting-up time by using the hinge itself as the pattern — eliminating the need for conventional marking out. The result is clean, accurate recesses achieved consistently and quickly, making it an ideal productivity tool for carpenters and joiners working to a schedule.

The jig accommodates a range of door types, including inside and outside doors and rebated frames, and is suitable for fixed stops up to 25mm thick. Four apertures are included to meet fire door requirements, and the angled position slots help prevent creep during routing. Compatible with timber-based doors and square butt hinges, it works with a light duty plunge router fitted with a 1/4 inch collet. A long reach router cutter of 12mm diameter and 70mm overall length is required.
