Applications:
For universal use in wood, chipboard, MDF, plastic and even thin metal sheet!
Multihead:
- Cutting ribs help the head countersink into wood easily.
- Screw head ribs help reduce the thread being stripped when fixing hinges etc.
- Deeper recess in screw-head for a stronger bit hold.
4CUT Point:
- No splitting even when working close to the edge.
- No pre-drilling required even in hard woods.
- Screw point takes immediate hold.
Ground Serrations:
- Reduces driving in torque.
- Hard synthetic coating for easy driving.
- Ultimate holding power.
The new SPAX looks unusual. The combination of 4CUT point, MULTIhead and the patented ground serrations gives you a new top-notch SPAX. It not only stretches the material out, it divides the fibres while the thread with the optimized ground serrations drive the screw on. This prevents the material from splitting.
The patented MULTIhead has moulding and stopping qualities at the same time. The ridges mould into the wood surface, trimming off the drilled hole. The head can be driven home flush with the wood surface quickly and easily.
SPAX will give trouble-free fastening in all varieties of working materials - from hard and soft wood to plastics to thin metal sheet and extruded profiles.
Naturally the new SPAX has the building authority's approval.
Please Note:
Spax have begun phasing out the yellow finish S series screws and are replacing them with a silver coloured finish. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee which type you will receive until this changeover is complete.
