A fairly crude gun takes the edge off this otherwise very handy item. When recycling grit, larger particles block the nozzle (not a fault of the equipment) but removing the nozzle to clear it was difficult because of the poor fit between it and the main body. This allowed grit to accumulate in the space between body and nozzle and thoroughly jam it in. I had to wind ptfe tape around the nozzle to fill the gap to alleviate this.

You need plenty of time and patience. But, the hopper is strong and well designed. And the gun seems fairly robust. The first gun I received was faulty but supplier got it replaced within days and the replacement gun was fine. The following comments are based on using it with a new Sealey 50 litre 2hp electric compressor: SEASA2250 The negatives are that it was OK for a 30 – 45 second blast but then you need to wait for the pressure to build again. It also tended to get clogged up with grit and you need to constantly find ways to make the grit flow by shaking the hopper or waggling the line etc. On the positive side, it's not too aggressive and I managed to clean-up a previously external 3x5 meter stone wall in about 10 - 12 hrs over a period of about a week by re-cycling one 25kg bag of blasting grit. On reflection, I might consider getting a contractor in if the job is a big one in future. Or buy or hire a much more powerful compressor. Otherwise it worked fine and was well worth £40. Job done!
