I also received the micrometer with a flat battery. Maybe they should check any remaining stock. However i also received 2 new batteries so good response. Great product and fantastic value.
I received two of these batteries because i complained, in a review, that the battery that came with my digital micrometer was flat. Much to my surprise and delight i received two new batteries as a replacement soon after. I'm not used to such good service these days, it was a very unusual and pleasant experience.
