Record Quick Release Plain Screw Woodworking Vice
The Record Quick Release Plain Screw Woodworking Vice with 270mm (10 1/2in) jaw width is the largest variant in the range, designed for demanding woodworking applications and heavy-duty workshop use. This variant offers an impressive 380mm (15in) jaw opening, making it ideal for larger work pieces and professional workshops requiring maximum capacity.
Fitted with a robust quick-release mechanism, simply squeeze the trigger to open and close the vice without using the mainscrew, allowing efficient interchanging of large and small work pieces. Releasing the trigger returns the mechanism to normal for fine adjustment. The adjustable front stop or dog provides an additional cramping facility when used with a bench stop, combining a normal vice and tail vice in one powerful tool.
Two steel guide rods reduce wear and ensure smooth parallel action even under heavy loads, while the jaws 'toe in' to deliver even clamping pressure over the whole depth of the work piece. Location holes are provided for fitting wooden cheeks to protect delicate materials.
