Norton India Slipstone

This Norton India Slipstone measures 100 x 25 x 11 x 5mm (4 x 1 x 7/16 x 3/16 in) and features a medium grade abrasive, making it ideal for initial sharpening and removing nicks or damage from lathe tools and gouges. The compact 100mm format provides excellent control for detailed restoration work on worn cutting edges.

The medium grade aluminium oxide offers more aggressive cutting action than fine grades, allowing you to reshape edges and remove material efficiently. This Type MS14 slipstone features one round edge, perfectly suited for working on the inside curves of gouges and profiled tools. The 5mm thickness provides a comfortable grip whilst maintaining the structural integrity needed for effective sharpening under pressure.
