The item is adequately built to do the job & no more-basic functionality. How long the meshing will last is yet to be determined! However, I’m happy with the purchase even though I would have expected the grass catcher to be included in the lawn mower package/purchase.

Easy to assemble, attaches to the front of the lawnmower easily, gets in the way a bit if you don't plan your mowing route well.

Save your money and buy a lawn rake. This catcher is as badly thought out as the mower is well engineered. Since the Dunwoody one star review in 2012 there has been no improvement. The effective capacity is nearer 7 litres rather than 17! You'll quickly get fed up of untangling the catcher and walking to your compost heap repeatedly. The slightest bump, twig or build up of grass results in the catcher becoming dislodged and snagged by the mower. However, if your intention is to get more exercise then the catcher will help greatly. Perhaps a less efficient reel mower with a real grass catcher would do the same - and a lot cheaper.

It's an afterthought which just about fits. There is a tendency for the lower hooks to ride up during use and engage with the rotating blades which cannot be good for them and damages the hooks as well. it might work well on a perfectly level lawn with a few days growth, but who has one? Longer grass or a slight bump push on the bottom of the box and the lower hooks rely on gravity to keep them in place. It would be better to have it suspended using the upper frame inserted into the mower chasis.
