FISCO Tools started off life making radio valve pins for the Ministry of Supply in the Second World War. It wasn’t until 1946 that they began their journey to becoming one of the world's leading tape measure manufacturers.
In 1958, Leo Fisher moved his business out of his London basement and into its present location – a 60,000 square feet factory in the south of England. From here, FISCO began to develop both their product range and their business. In the 1970s they introduced their first long tape. By the 2000s they were exporting their products to 30 countries across the globe.
Today, people in countries from Yemen to the U.S. choose FISCO tape measures as their tape measure of choice. FISCO’s range of products include long tapes, short tapes and measure and mark tools.
Short tape is flexible tape used for measuring short distances, for example a length of a wall or room. Long tape, often used by surveyors, is used for measuring long distances such as a site being prepared for a large building. Measure and mark tools help people to calculate angles.
All FISCO tape measures are aligned by the world’s only high precision tape printer and inspected by what the company claims is “the world’s most accurate tape checking system.”
