Packaging says that it needs to be used with oil. Nowhere in the description is it described as an oil stone

It states that the stone should be used with OIL. I did not realise this since it isn't stated in the product description

The stone is fine and does the job very well.Its a pity that the packaging for the delivery of this item allowed the item to be broken in transit.However,this was only the blue plastic outer casing that was damaged but i was still able to use the item albeit with a little modification from myself.
