This 5.5mm x 45mm Countersunk Self Drilling Timber to Heavy Section Steel Screw is well suited to lighter fixing tasks where a shorter screw length is required, such as attaching thinner timber battens or boards to light section steel frameworks. Supplied in a generous pack of 200, it offers excellent value for high-volume projects.
The self-drilling point means no pre-drilling is necessary, reducing installation time significantly. The coarse thread and breakaway wings ream through the timber efficiently, with the wings detaching upon contact with the steel so the thread can self-tap cleanly into the metal. A countersunk head provides a flush, tidy finish throughout.
