A Bucket Trowel is designed simply for scooping material out of a bucket - to transfer it onto a hawk for example. Although you can of course do this using any number of different methods, a good Bucket Trowel will have a few design features which make it the best tool for the job. Firstly, the shape enables you to effectively scrape every last bit of the material from the bottom of the bucket so nothing goes to waste and you have an easier time clearing up, but additionally they will ideally have rounded edges to prevent the inside of the bucket from getting scratched - not only does this damage the bucket and mean it will need replacing sooner, but it can also result in bits of debris ending up in your mix.
