Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

I purchased the black and Decker BCHTS3620 36v hedge trimmer with the battery and charger pack. It was a good price in comparison to other sites at the time and unlike others it allowed me to order a further spare battery at a great price, saving me money. I used it straight away to trim a hawthorn bush and it cut through the stems with ease, making a job I wasn't looking forward to a breeze to get through. being cordless is so much easier and safer especially when using steps. I ordered with the three working day postage and it arrived on the third working day. I was emailed regularly as the order progressed right up to the delivery day.
I have a B and D strimmer which is excellent and this seems to be the same. I have two batteries which have quite a long charge so altogether very good.
I already have two 36 V Black & Decker batteries so it was good to be able to save money by purchasing the hedge trimmer without a battery. Easy assembly following reasonably clear diagrams. Used on two hedges so far and very pleased both with the results and the small amount of battery drain. Would recommend especially if you already possess a 36 V B & D battery. Delivery was fast and efficient with very good communication. Excellent service.
So far the hedgetrimmer has done all I’ve asked of it. Powerful and battery life is good. Still getting the hang of the bit that cuts thicker branches. Seems well built and solid. Quick delivery and good comms.
Early days but so far so good, only used it a couple of times but very impressed. Not too heavy which is good, love the fact that you can use the batteries with other products in the range. I was very apprehensive about going over to battery tools but did my homework, this item had good reviews which helped when deciding what to get. So far when using it the battery has lasted whilst completing jobs, to my amazement the battery itself had plenty of charge left considering I’d been using it continuously for some time. Very happy so far, delivered promptly which was fab.
Bought as a gift. Plenty of power but quite heavy
