Bahco Heavy Duty Bow Saw and Green Wood Blade

I have been using this saw to cut up deadfall and flotsam to build up wood stocks for next year, and the green wood blade has performed exceptionally well.

The bow is quality and is well balanced. The hand protector/grip is a valued asset. Keep an eye on the blade tensioner as is may get knocked over time. Overall, a great buy. The blade is great for green/unseasoned wood.

This was to replace an old bahco bow saw lacking tensioning adjustment feature. i use the saw to complement my chainsaw in felling some conifer trees. cuts readily with little effort, tool is light to handle, easy to use and does not cause undue strain to the wrist. pleased with its performance.

Well made saw. blade cuts easily through 8 inch tree trunks, not found any bigger ones to try it out on. would recommend this saw and the replacement blade which i also bought to use with my old bow saw.

My purchase of a replacement blade for my old saw from a well respected trade outlet was a disappointment. I suppose only costing about £3 should have told me something. The blade soon lost its cutting ability and kept sticking. I didn't keep to my motto of "never buy cheap tools" so i have only myself to blame. The bahco heavy-duty bow saw is a quality tool and cuts brilliantly. Price and service from tooled-up cannot be beaten!

This continues to impress me, it is a cracking saw for newly felled wood and i have used it extensively and it has performed well.
