Encourage hours of outdoor play with your little ones in one of our traditional kids’ playhouses. Captivate their little imaginations in a home-from-home setting right at the bottom of the garden.
Beautifully crafted from timber with real opening windows and doors, your children can invent their own garden games in a safe, homely environment.
The children's playhouse is a wonderful space to play during any season. Unlike a play tent or plastic wendy houses, there is ample garden storage to hold their favourite outdoor toys and role play with the garden furniture.
Why not accompany yours with garden tables and garden chairs for tea parties and teddy bear picnics? There are several shed accessories and options available to keep them entertained, with some playhouses coming with a climbing frame or slide. This is another popular space-saving choice!
Unlike a metal garden shed or plastic sheds, the wooden garden playhouse blends naturally into its setting and retains a comfortable insulated space to both play and relax. A great space to hideout with siblings and friends, these aren’t just novelty items like bouncy castles, it's there for year-round enjoyment.
From our Rowlinson brand we have two great choices of tower playhouses; the 'Hideaway’ wooden house and the 'Playaway' cottage playhouse. Both of these are storey playhouses, meaning they have an integrated upstairs platform for extra space to explore, allowing children to take their adventures to another level. A double-storey playhouse is a fantastic opportunity to assert their independence as they can role play out family life in a realistic setting.
Much like our pressure treated sheds, their solid timber structure is designed to give plenty of life. However, it's important to follow any maintenance procedures similar to that of contemporary summer houses or wooden sheds. The shed bases will need to be fitted correctly and assessed for rot regularly and the tongue and groove exterior or dip treated surface will require regular coats of a wood stain or finish to protect from damp. Seek advice directly from the manufacturer for the best way to keep yours in top condition.
If your playhouse will be used during the colder months, it's worth considering an electric heater or patio heaters, otherwise, you could use yours for garden storage, garden furniture or tool storage until the Spring arrives.
If you've owned potting sheds, metal sheds or wooden sheds in the past, you'll appreciate the upkeep can vary year on year, weather being the major factor. However, a little TLC and yours will provide plenty of years of life and fun.
All of our wooden playhouses are available for home delivery.
