The Ridgid 975 Roll Groover is a versatile pipe preparation tool designed for roll grooving steel, aluminium, stainless steel, PVC and copper pipe from 1¼ inches to 6 inches in diameter. This dual-function groover can mount directly onto the Ridgid 300 Power Drive for machine-powered operation or be used as a standalone manual roll groover for in-place pipe preparation, making it ideal for plumbers and pipefitters working on both workshop and site installations. Featuring patented auto-tracking technology, the 975 keeps pipe automatically engaged throughout the grooving process, significantly reducing operator effort and ensuring consistent results. The permanently indexed depth gauge enables quick, repeatable set-up between jobs, whilst the 55% higher gear reduction compared to competitive manual groovers means considerably less hand force is required during operation—particularly beneficial when working on overhead installations. Built from tough ductile iron construction, this roll groover is designed to withstand demanding jobsite conditions whilst maintaining grooving accuracy over time. The integrated cast-in handle provides convenient portability between work locations. Actuation is achieved via the included ½ inch ratchet wrench or any 15/16 inch hex wrench, offering flexibility in how the tool is operated.
