The Forgefix Forgefast Torx Tongue and Groove Flooring Screws are specialist wood screws engineered for securing tongue and groove floorboards to timber joists without damaging the tongue. These 3.5mm x 45mm screws feature a reduced head design with under head ribs that self-countersink for a flush finish, allowing perfect board alignment and concealing the fixing point. The anti-split, fast start thread engages quickly at insertion, whilst the double cutting point reduces both splitting and drive time. The serrated cutting thread delivers improved pull-out resistance with reduced drive torque, eliminating the need for pre-drilling and speeding up installation. The reinforced countersunk neck provides enhanced holding power in timber applications. Featuring a TORX® compatible insert for superior power transmission, these screws are CE approved for use in load-bearing timber construction. The Elementech 400 surface coating offers excellent corrosion resistance, salt spray tested to 400 hours—lasting six times longer than standard zinc coatings. The environmentally friendly Non-Cr, Cr6+, yellow/zinc plated finish with molecular lubrication makes these screws suitable for interior flooring installations, capable of penetrating up to 0.8mm steel where required.
