The Festool Edge Routing Support Rest is a base runner accessory designed to provide stable support when routing in the edge area with compatible Festool OF routers. When working at the edge of a workpiece, the router base sits only partially on the surface, creating an imbalance that can affect accuracy and control — this support rest resolves that problem directly. Compatible with the Festool OF 900, OF 1000, OF 1010, and OF 1010 R routers, the support rest extends the effective contact surface of the router base, giving the tool a secure footing throughout the cut. This makes it particularly useful for edge rebating, edge profiling, and any routing task where the router must travel along or near the boundary of the workpiece. The support extension on one side of the base runner prevents the router from tipping, maintaining consistent depth and reducing the risk of inaccurate or uneven routing passes. Retaining screws are included to fix the rest securely in position during use. Note that this accessory cannot be used in combination with the KSF-OF 1010 chip deflector.
