If you're looking for all round performance from your sander, with the versatility to work on corners, edges, or broad surfaces without the need for a nearby power source, you couldn't do much better than the Bosch PSM 18 LI. With a high orbital sanding rate of 22000 oscillations per minute & a respectable sanding surface of 104cm², even big jobs can be completed efficiently without any time wasted. A pointed delta base plate is shaped to enable sanding even in tight corners & frame edges, & a two piece sanding plate lets you detach & rotate the delta tip so that it wears evenly, allowing you to use the same piece of sanding paper for longer. If you want even greater versatility, louvre & sanding finger attachments are available for purchase separately. Changing sanding sheets is easy; a firm gripping Velcro-type fitting system means that sheets can simply be peeled off & replaced by hand. Moreover, versatile ergonomics enable one or two handed operation for optimal handling on differently shaped workpieces, & a vibration absorbing softgrip coating further improves user control. An additional benefit of the PSM 18 LI is Bosch's patented microfilter system, a built in dust extractor which automatically sucks in & collects harmful wood dust in a re-usable dust box during operation. Alternatively, the sander can be used in conjunction with an external dust extractor. As part of the PowerForAll family, this sander shares battery compatibility with every other PowerForAll 18v tool for the home and garden, though please note that the larger capacity batteries of 4.0ah and above will not fit in the machine as they are too large. Bosch's long lasting Lithium Ion Batteries are protected by the Bosch Electronic Cell Protection System, which defends against the damaging effects of overload, overheating & deep discharge, keeping your tools performing better for longer.
